Experience
Nigel joined Birketts in 1977. He is the firm's senior partner.
Having spent some years earlier in his career in the firm's property department, Nigel has a sound grounding in the technical and practical aspects of all transactional property work. He has considerable experience in traditional property litigation including commercial landlord and tenant matters, contractual disputes, possession and boundary disputes. He has developed a particular interest in the more esoteric areas of property law particularly public rights of way and access to land, commons and village greens and easements generally. A significant part of his practice is now devoted to advising over access issues and especially claimed public rights of way, village greens and providing representation at public inquiries.
Nigel is based at our Ipswich office.
Other Information
Nigel wins client praise in Chambers [2010] for his "diligence and commercial nous".
