Ruth joined Birketts in 2005 as a trainee and qualified in 2007. She is a Partner in our Construction team.

Ruth carries out contentious construction work. She acts for a wide range of clients including employers, developers, main contractors, sub-contractors and professionals. Ruth has extensive experience in high value court claims at the Technology and Construction Court which include defect claims against contractors and/or professionals, delay claims and final account claims. She has also conducted numerous  adjudications including  enforcing those adjudication decisions through the Courts. She regularly represents clients at mediations whether those are held prior to or once the parties are in the court process. She also acts for clients in arbitrations. 

Ruth also acts for clients on a day to day basis before the matter proceeds to court, arbitration or adjudication by providing advice on contractual matters. 

Ruth is based at our Ipswich office.
