Malcolm Savory is highly regarded for his vast experience and undoubted technical excellence in all aspects of health and safety law. Having qualified in 1976, he has advised and represented a number of major East Anglian businesses for many years as well as prosecuting for the HSE. He is a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association.
Laura Thomas-Islami has prosecuted and defended a number of influential health and safety cases including high profile prosecutions of Transco and Nishimatsu. She also worked for a time at the HSE Solicitor’s Office, advising on health and safety prosecutions of national importance. She has further conducted legal training for HSE Inspectors as well as speaking at health and safety seminars within The City of London. In addition, she significantly contributed to the Butterworths publication “Health and Safety Law: Enforcement and Practice” by Matthews and Ageros.
Current cases for the team include the investigation in to the Gerrards Cross rail tunnel collapse and an impending corporate manslaughter trial.
