The 11-strong team applies its "first-class knowledge" to its work for P&I clubs, cargo insurers, shipowners, charterers and other industry participants across the globe.

We are regarded as an up and coming shipping team both in and outside of the City with many of the team having ex-City shipping backgrounds. Because of our location we can provide a City service at non-London prices.
The team has wide experience of acting in shipping disputes before the English High Court and in London arbitration. With its links with overseas lawyers, it is also able to assist in multi-jurisdictional disputes in most parts of the world. Nicholas Woo has particular knowledge of and strong connections with the shipping industry in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. He speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. Lisa Wortley has been consulted by one of the major weather routing companies regarding voyage performance calculations and the English law approach to speed and consumption claims.
