Birketts advise on sale of Worldwide Group Holdings Limited
A team of solicitors from Birketts advised on the sale of Peterborough based audio conferencing specialists Worldwide Group Holdings Limited to Daisy Group plc.
The team from our Cambridge office advised the owners of Worldwide Group Holdings on the sale of their shares for a consideration of up to £28m, with the potential for further consideration based on growth in EBITDA over an agreed earn-out period.
Daisy has agreed to acquire Worldwide as a new revenue stream through the provision of audio-conferencing, which will extend and complement its existing telecoms offer for business customers.
The existing senior management team remains in place and will use their specialist product knowledge and expertise to continue developing the business.
The Birketts team was led by Adrian Seagers and included Nick Burt, Leah Finnegan and Lynn Aung (Corporate), Gavin Birchall (Tax), Natalie Biggs (Property), Tom Newcombe (Planning) and Clare Hedges (Employment).
Adrian Seagers said: "We are delighted to have advised Paul and Selena Bailey and their team on this exciting transaction. Our involvement showcases the strength of our teams in a number of our practice areas and our ability to deliver to the most challenging deadlines."
Mark Duckmanton, speaking on behalf of Worldwide, commented: “We admired the professionalism, work effort and skill through this process, in particular during the latter stages of the deal.”
