Employment Training Programme 2012

Birketts' HR team has launched its exciting training initiative for 2012 to help our clients and contacts through the complexities, anxieties and sometimes baffling world of employment law. Our HR Training Programme 2012 is designed to empower delegates, provide them with practical solutions to important workplace issues and keep them up to date with the fast moving changes affecting employment law. Our experienced trainers are also lawyers so they know what's really happening in the Tribunals, what measures will protect your organisation and they have plenty of war stories to share.

Our Managing Sickness Absence workshop will enable delegates to deal with the difficulties of sickness absence, ensuring they are equipped to avoid the pitfalls that can arise in the form of disability discrimination.

Our How to succeed in Tribunal will provide delegates with an update on recent changes to the employment tribunal system, an understanding on how the system operates and what steps should be taken to maximise the chance of success in tribunal and will end with a question and answer session where they can put their difficult employment questions before a Judge.

Our Employment Law in a Nutshell workshop is designed to refresh HR managers on the key day to day employment issues that frequently arise as well as providing junior HR personnel and line managers with an overview of the essential employment law issues they need to know to perform their roles effectively. 

Lastly, our Managing Change workshop will take delegates through the legal framework and implications of workforce change effected by mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and in-sourcing, downsizing and moving location. It will look at the law surrounding TUPE and redundancies, taking delegates through the practical and commercial considerations that should be taken to apply a clear strategy and process, which will look at communication, planning and collective consultation.
