Jeanette joined Birketts in 2007. She is a partner and heads up our employment team in Norwich.
Since her arrival at Birketts, Jeanette has provided expert advice to many employers and senior executives particularly in the NHS, off-shore oil and gas, and the food sector. She specialises in large scale redundancy and restructuring exercises; the TUPE implications of outsourcings, acquisitions and disposals; dealing with the removal of directors and senior executives; post termination restrictions; compromise agreements; difficult staff grievances and the Tribunal claims that can ensue.
Jeanette is committed to acting in partnership with her clients by building sustainable relationships and providing excellent client service and practical solutions. Her clients include household names such as May Gurney and Bernard Matthews.
Prior to joining Birketts, Jeanette was a partner at an international law firm where she was client partner for household names such as Nestle and acted for some significant global businesses. She travelled extensively throughout the United States on speaking engagements and also advising foreign companies on their UK and European HR liabilities. She advised on large scale outsourcing deals and TUPE issues including advising Philips Electronics in its divulging of its semiconductors business NXP as well as changing the pension terms for hundreds of employees of another international food manufacturer.

Jeanette has conducted numerous public and in-house training courses on a range of HR topics receiving excellent reviews and praise for making these courses informative, interactive and always practical. Jeanette is experienced at providing media comment and analysis and is regularly asked to speak or participate in public discussions or lectures on legal or business related topics. Over the past 4 years, Jeanette has held the post of Chair of the Norwich Business Women's Network.
