Experience
Stephen joined Birketts in 2007. He is an associate in our family and matrimonial team and specialises in divorce, separation, civil partnership dissolution, parenting concerns, financial support, pension and property claims.
Stephen is an experienced solicitor, mediator and collaborative practitioner in our family and matrimonial team. He specialises in an ethical non-adversarial approach to relationship breakdowns - whether couples have been living together, are married or are in a civil partnership.
Nearly all his cases settle without any court involvement. He achieves this by listening carefully to what clients want, by tailoring his advice to provide them with a range of options, and by aiming to build good relationships with the other parties' solicitors - all of which create greater opportunities for better outcomes.
