Future50 2015: recognising Norfolk and Suffolk’s most innovative companies
Leading East of England law firm Birketts is proud to once again sponsor the Norfolk and Suffolk Future50.
Future50 is a business growth programme designed to recognise Norfolk and Suffolk’s most innovative companies – the ‘ones to watch’ – and accelerate their growth ambitions through quality business advice, inspirational networking events that stimulate peer learning, innovative multimedia business support and access to grant funding as an investment catalyst.
These are the individuals and companies that will be creating jobs, growing at a faster rate than others, and going on to be leaders in their sector. The scheme will work exclusively with businesses where job creation and investment plans can be brought forward or the scope can be increased.
Funded by Round 6 of the Government's Regional Growth Fund, Future50 will be delivered across Norfolk and Suffolk by Nwes and Archant, with partners Barclays, Birketts, Lovewell Blake and UEA adding ongoing support throughout
Mark Gipson, a partner in the corporate team and a Future 50 judge in Suffolk, commented, “For some years now, the Future50 initiative has offered something different from the standard business award model, recognising potential as well as achievement, and rewarding promise more than past success. Many of these businesses are new start-ups with the opportunity to develop and blossom, but there are also other long established companies that have decided to do something more than just continued organic growth, and whose determination to branch out and to invest in new innovation has bought them into the Future50 fold. It is this diversity that is part of Future50’s appeal.”
Adrian Possener, a partner in the corporate team and a Future 50 judge in Norfolk, added, “We are delighted that with its additional funding in its new format, the Future50 programme can do more than simply identify and praise these success stories of the future, but can contribute in a some way to that success through the financial support it can now offer to all Future50 members. We know that with their innovation and vision, those businesses will be able to apply and grow that investment in ways which will prove a real benefit to the communities and economies of Norfolk and Suffolk, and that is something which we at Birketts are privileged to endorse.”
