Published: 18/12/2015

Existing rates of SMP, SSP and other statutory payments will remain at the current level for the new tax year beginning on 6 April 2016.

The Department of Work and Pensions has confirmed that statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental pay, maternity allowance and statutory sick pay will not be increased next year, due to a 0.1% fall in the consumer prices index.
