Top 100 law firm Birketts, which has four offices throughout the Eastern region, has won six awards following the latest Lex 100 annual trainee survey.
The survey is viewed as the most comprehensive assessment of law firm training contracts in the UK and gathered over 3,000 anonymous responses from trainees at 165 law firms across the UK evaluating different criteria of trainee life.
Birketts is listed as a Lex 100 Winner for 2017/18 in six categories: ‘living up to expectations’, ‘low stress levels’, ‘work/life balance’, ‘friendliness’, ‘social life’ and ‘vacation scheme’.
Matthew Newnham, Employment Law Partner and Training Principal at Birketts, said: “Having won a number of Lex awards in the last few years Birketts has a very strong track record in the graduate / trainee market. To be recognised by Lex 100 again this year as one of the highest scoring firms nationally in six categories, as rated by our trainees, is a tremendous achievement for everyone at the firm.”
Shaun Savory, Human Resources Director at Birketts, added: “It’s particularly pleasing to receive rave reviews on the vacation scheme in only our second year of running the scheme firm wide. Our overall aim is to give our trainees a rich variety of high quality work so that they develop their legal skills and find the practice area that best suits their skills and interests. These awards demonstrate that at Birketts we are getting that experience right." Birketts offers training contracts to law and non-law graduates from a variety of backgrounds.
