Leading law firm Birketts has advised on the sale of Ductclean (UK) Limited to Marlowe plc for a total enterprise value of up to £10m. The deal was announced on 13 July and is scheduled to complete on 31 July 2017.
Established in 1998 and operating nationally from headquarters in Welwyn Garden City, Ductclean is a UK market leader in ventilation maintenance, ductwork cleaning and management, kitchen extract cleaning and contamination remediation services, including asbestos remediation. Ductclean’s key customers include national hotel and leisure providers, airports, NHS trusts, universities, local authorities, and FTSE companies.
Birketts advised on all legal matters which included support from tax, property and employment. Adrian Seagers, Partner and Head of Corporate Services, led the transaction with assistance from Stephanie Newman, Corinne Spencer, Laura Ing-Beaufils, Emma Medina-Wallace and Karl Pocock.
