Amanda Timcke, Senior Associate in the Commercial Property Team at Birketts, has been elected as President of the Suffolk and North Essex Law Society.
Amanda becomes the 87th President and the sixth woman elected to the role in its almost 100 year history.
The Suffolk and North Essex Law Society represents solicitors located norther of the A120 in Essex and throughout Suffolk. The Society aims to support all local members, communicating directly with the Law Society in Chancery Lane, London.
In her role as President, Amanda will become the main representative for the Society in Suffolk and North Essex, attending key county and national events and acting as a voice of solicitors in the region when communicating with the Law Society.
Commenting on her election, Amanda said: “I am delighted to have taken up the role of President of the Suffolk and North Essex Law Society. As well as playing a part in pushing forward initiatives that will further the interests of our members, I am looking forward to utilising my position to encourage and support others into the profession.”
