Birketts has marked the new financial year with the appointment of two new heads of practice division.
Bernadette Baker takes up the role of Head of Private Client, taking over from Jack Royall, while Richard Eaton becomes Head of Dispute Resolution which was a role previously held by Alex Davey.
On their appointments, Jonathan Agar, Chief Executive at Birketts, said: “I am pleased to announce that Bernadette and Richard have been appointed to the positions of Head of Private Client and Head of Dispute Resolution respectively, and thank Jack Royall and Alex Davey for their contributions in these roles over the course of the last few years. Both Bernadette and Richard bring a wealth of experience in their respective practices as well as in managing large teams, which will be invaluable as we embark on the next stage of growth towards achieving our 2030 strategy. The leadership changes also mean that women now lead 75% of Birketts’ practice divisions, accompanied by a Partnership Board has an equal split of male to female members. From 1 April, 45% of Birketts’ Partnership is female.
