Sarina Bailey, Associate Solicitor in the Birketts Ipswich Family Team, has been appointed as a member of the Resolution Specialist Domestic Abuse Committee.
The specialist committee covers all areas of domestic abuse related law and practice. It is made up of a group of members who take a practical approach to solving problems and delivering projects with the purpose of developing and promoting the awareness of issues around all aspects of domestic abuse, identifying and developing training and education, promoting specialist accreditation, setting and maintaining standards, identifying best practice, and promoting change where necessary.
Each member is selected on the basis of their expertise, viewpoints and specialist skills.
On her appointment, Sarina said: “It is a privilege to have been selected to be a Member of the Resolution Specialist Domestic Abuse Committee. I have supported and helped many people over the years who have needed protection and help dealing with and fleeing from an abusive relationship. I am passionate about continuing to provide such support and being on the Committee will help us develop and promote domestic abuse awareness and make and promote changes that are needed to many people”.
