Jessica Withey



Jessica is a member of the Ipswich Private Client Advisory Team specialising in wills, estates, lasting powers of attorney and tax and trust advice. 

Jessica attended the University of Kent before completing her Legal Practice in Cambridge, where she was awarded a distinction. Jessica began working at Birketts in 2013 and qualified into the private client team in September 2015 after spending much of her training contract in the department. Jessica has strong links with both Norfolk and Suffolk and travels between the two for work and family commitments. 

Jessica is based in the Ipswich office and specialises in advising individual clients in relation to their wills and estate planning. Jessica is able to discuss the tax implications of her clients’ wills and advise them accordingly. She also has experience in dealing with the creation of trusts and subsequent appointments of funds, as well as the winding up of trusts already in existence. Jessica works closely with her tax colleagues in order to provide relevant and up to date advice in relation to the taxation of trusts. As part of Jessica’s general advice she is also well versed in the creation and implication of lasting powers of attorney.
