Cara Keen



Cara joined Birketts in May 2019. She is an Associate in our Commercial Property Team, based in our Norwich office.

Prior to joining Birketts, Cara started her career in property law in 2013 as a Paralegal in a Brighton firm, she subsequently trained at a specialist property firm in Norwich, and since qualification, has worked for four years assisting clients with a wide range of commercial property matters. Her experience includes acting for a diverse range of clients on acquisitions and disposals, re-financing, corporate support on company transactions, leases, general landlord and tenant matters and real estate asset management.

Other Information

Cara studied Law with French at Sussex University in Brighton which included a year studying Law in France at the University of Toulouse Capitole I in 2009, and she completed her Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in Guildford in 2012. She was admitted as a Solicitor in March 2015.

Cara also volunteers as the Chair of the Board of Directors for a Norwich-based social enterprise named Your Own Place CIC, which aims to prevent homelessness by offering training, mentoring and support to young people in the region. Cara assists Your Own Place CIC’s Board with strategic direction, business development, accountability and governance, to assist with their mission of ensuring that every person lives in a safe and secure home.
