Arron is an Associate in the agriculture and estates team.
He advises clients on dispute resolution and avoidance relating to agricultural land and businesses, including partnership dissolutions, proprietary estoppel claims, agricultural tenancy disputes and judicial review of rural policy issues.
Arron regularly works with specialist lawyers across practice areas, as well as clients’ land agents, accountants and other professional advisers, to deliver holistic, practical solutions to complex agricultural disputes.
Recent work highlights
Acting for more than 30 farmers in judicial review proceedings following the sudden closure of the Sustainable Farming Incentive 2024. The challenge resulted in DEFRA agreeing to partially reopen the scheme, allowing 2,650 frozen applications to be completed and securing more than £37m in cumulative benefit for farming businesses.
Advising a high‑net‑worth individual on a £30m farming partnership dissolution involving complex ownership structures and divisions of assets.
Defending Dartmoor Commoners’ Council in judicial review proceedings brought by Wild Justice concerning alleged failures to issue livestock limitation notices on Dartmoor.
Experience & education
Arron previously worked in the farms, estates and rural land team at Foot Anstey LLP for five years, after completing his training contract at the firm. Arron studied Law (LLB and LLM) at University College London.
