Charlie joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2025. He is currently in his second seat in the agriculture and estates team in Chelmsford.
Charlie’s first seat was with the commercial real estate team in Ipswich, where he primarily assisted with landlord and tenant matters and portfolio management. He also gained experience in acquisitions, disposals, and sale and leaseback transactions.
Prior to joining Birketts, Charlie graduated top of his class from the University of East Anglia. He was awarded the prize for Best Overall Performance, the Malcolm Hitchcock Memorial Prize, and the Sweet & Maxwell Law Prize. During his time at university, he was also the Volunteer Team Lead for the debt team at Norfolk Community Law Service.
Charlie went on to complete the LLM in Legal Practice (SQE1 & 2) at the University of Law in Moorgate, and took electives in Employment, Family, Intellectual Property, and Insurance.
