Charlie joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2025. He is currently in his third seat in the employment team in Sevenoaks.
He assists the team in advising on all aspects of employment law (both contentious and non-contentious).
Charlie’s first seat was with the commercial real estate team in Ipswich, where he primarily assisted with landlord and tenant matters and portfolio management. For his second seat he joined the agriculture & estates team in Chelmsford; working on various agricultural land matters, including option agreements for utility scale renewable energy transactions, and landscape recovery projects.
Prior to joining Birketts, Charlie graduated top of his class from the University of East Anglia. He was awarded the prize for Best Overall Performance, the Malcolm Hitchcock Memorial Prize, and the Sweet & Maxwell Law Prize. During his time at university, he was also the Volunteer Team Lead for the debt team at Norfolk Community Law Service.
Charlie completed the LLM in Legal Practice (SQE1 & 2) at the University of Law in Moorgate, achieving a Distinction and taking electives in Employment, Family, Intellectual Property, and Insurance.
