Claire Wiles

Claire Wiles is a Senior Associate in the administrative and public law disputes team with more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on complex and high value litigation in both the public and private sectors. 

Claire is currently acting for a client in relation to judicial review proceedings concerning local government reorganisation. 

Claire previously worked for a County Council where she led its defence of a procurement and public contract challenge concerning the lawful modification of an in-term public contract, helping to secure an important outcome for the authority. 

Additionally, Claire has achieved a number of successful outcomes in significant and high-profile judicial review and public law challenges.  Claire advised on a variety of judicial review cases relating to the Children Act 1989, age assessments for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and SEND matters.  

Claire also worked on the Saville Inquiry in relation to events that took place in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. 

Claire’s experience enables her to bring a broad perspective to complex legal disputes and deliver practical, commercially focused advice while managing risk and achieving positive outcomes for her clients.
