Daniella Colton is an Associate in the employment team.

Daniella has supported a broad range of clients, including national organisations, charities, SMEs and individuals, on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. She has developed particular expertise in managing Employment Tribunal claims from early conciliation through to final hearings, as well as providing strategic and commercially focussed advice on everyday workplace issues such as disciplinary processes, grievances, redundancy exercises and whistleblowing complaints.

Daniella regularly represents clients at preliminary hearings, judicial mediations and interim relief applications. She is also skilled in drafting key tribunal documentation, including claims, responses, witness statements and settlement agreements, and advising on litigation strategy and settlement options.

Her experience includes supporting clients on complex and high-profile matters, including discrimination claims reported in national media, as well as advising employers on significant restructuring/redundancy exercises and day-to-day employment issues.

Recent work highlights

Successfully defended an unfair dismissal claim against a national retailer.

Successfully defended two out of three religious-belief discrimination claims against a northern charity.

Successfully brought claims against a sports coaching company for unlawful deductions from wages.

Represented clients at preliminary hearings, judicial mediations, and interim relief hearings, including acting as advocate for a recruitment agency client at a final hearing.
