Ed is a Partner in the firm’s commercial real estate team based in our Sevenoaks office.
Ed has more than 20 years’ experience working on commercial real estate transactions.
Throughout his career he has undertaken a mixed array of secured lending work, landlord and tenant matters and acquisitions and sales of freehold and leasehold property.
In recent years Ed has also focussed on development dealing with strategic land promotion, options, overage arrangements and development agreements for one of the country’s largest residential and commercial land promoters.
Recent work highlights
Advised a residential land promoter in relation to the assembly and promotion of a 50-acre site in Windsor, which culminated in allocation of the site following its release from the Green Belt and the grant of planning consent in two phases to deliver 455 new homes including 180 affordable dwellings.
Acted for a care homes operator in connection with a £22m refinance involving 14 separate properties and three different funders.
Acted for a client in relation to the acquisition, development and then £28m sale and leaseback of a mixed-use scheme in South London.
Advised a residential land promoter in relation to the promotion and subsequent sale of site in Surrey following a planning process which spanned over eight years and six planning appeals. The site will deliver 146 new homes (54 affordable) and over £5m to the local community via Community Infrastructure Levy and planning obligations.
