Emma is a member of the property disputes team in our Cambridge office, working under the supervision of Stuart Wortley. She joined Birketts in February 2026, having previously spent four years at Eversheds Sutherland.
Emma has experience across a broad range of contentious matters including commercial real estate disputes, property damage claims, breach of contract, debt recovery and liability claims. She has also supported complex, high-value litigation, including multi-million-pound property disputes, fatality and catastrophic injury cases, brand-sensitive investigations and large-scale disclosure exercises.
Emma works in fast-paced and demanding environments where attention to detail, organisation and strategic thinking are essential. She provides clear and effective support to help clients and legal teams navigate complex disputes with confidence.
Emma’s current work focuses on assisting the team on high-value contentious property matters, including:
- Development land agreement disputes
- Commercial landlord and tenant disputes (including forfeiture)
- Dilapidations and easement disputes
- Trespass and nuisance claims
- Possession claims
Experience & education
Emma is currently self-studying the SQE2 to qualify as a Solicitor via the SQE route.
