Helen trained with Birketts from 2018 and qualified as an Employment Solicitor in September 2020.
Helen is based in our Chelmsford office and advises both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. Examples of her work include:
- Drafting and advising on employment contracts, consultancy agreements and staff handbooks;
- Assisting employees with negotiating exits from their employer;
- Drafting and advising on settlement agreements;
- Advising on redundancy, managing sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance issues;
- Preparing and advising on Employment Tribunal claims.
Helen graduated from the University of East Anglia with a First Class Honours degree in History, before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and achieving a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course. Helen was named on the 2024 Pro Bono Recognition List of England and Wales.
