Jake joined Birketts in September 2025 as a Trainee Solicitor and is currently completing his second seat in the agriculture and estates team, having moved to the Ipswich office in March 2026.
Jake works across a broad range of agricultural and rural property matters, supporting landowners, farmers, estates and agri‑businesses. His work includes assisting with the acquisition and disposal of agricultural land and farms, advising on agricultural and farming business tenancies, and supporting clients on estate management matters such as land registration, easements, covenants and option agreements.
Jake draws on experience gained during his first seat in the residential development team, where he acted for developers and private clients on a wide range of real estate and development matters. This included advising on option agreements, infrastructure easements, land transfers, highways and drainage agreements, and the disposal of land to management companies, local authorities, commercial entities and private individuals. He regularly assisted with planning and title‑related enquiries, end‑of‑development issues, post‑completion matters and the resolution of legacy developments.
