Katy is a Partner in our corporate team, based in Cambridge.
Katy is a collaborative corporate lawyer known for her calm, pragmatic approach and her ability to guide all parties through transactions with clarity, humour and confidence.
She specialises in M&A transactional work, acting predominantly for owner‑managed and family businesses navigating exits, acquisitions and strategic growth. Katy also has a strong interest in succession planning and regularly works with private client and estate planning teams. Her experience includes advising on family investment companies and the use of trusts within corporate structures.
Before joining the firm, Katy chaired the agriculture and rural business sector at her previous practice, developing significant expertise in farming partnership agreements and reorganisations designed to support diversification or succession within farming enterprises.
Recent work highlights
Re-organisation and creation of a joint venture business for the Portobello Road Gin brand.
Complex re-organisation of the historical group of farming and food produce companies Produce World group / Burgess Farms ahead of the Chiltern Capital backed management buyout including readying the trading entities to be demerged with the correct business assets for the continuity of the trade acquired.
Working with international retailer Yours Clothing on it’s acquisitions of Long Tall Sally and M&Co.
