Katy is a Trainee Solicitor in our private client advisory team in our Cambridge office.
Katy began her career in the media industry, working as a magazine editor and digital content creator before deciding to pursue law. To gain hands-on experience of legal practice, she spent a year in the commercial property team at Birketts, which confirmed her interest in qualifying as a solicitor.
Katy subsequently secured a training contract with Birketts and went on to complete her Master’s degree at the University of Law, achieving a distinction. Her elected subjects, employment, family, and intellectual property, allowed her to explore a broad range of practice areas and develop a strong academic foundation.
She is currently in her second seat of the training contract. After completing her first seat in the administrative and public law disputes team, she has now joined private client advisory team, where she is enjoying the opportunity to apply her studies in wills, trusts, and estate planning to real client work.
