Molly Lombardi
Molly Lombardi is an Associate in our administrative and public law disputes team.
Molly is a procurement disputes lawyer who advises on a wide range of administrative and public law disputes, including public procurement challenges, judicial review proceedings and disputes involving public bodies. She also advises education providers and charities on contractual disputes, Equality Act and discrimination claims, and safeguarding matters.

Prior to joining Birketts, Molly was an Associate working predominately in public inquiries at a leading London law firm. She advised on a number of high-profile statutory public inquiries, acting for both Inquiry Legal Teams and Core Participants.
Before relocating to the UK, Molly practised in Australia as a prosecutor with the Office of Public Prosecutions. She managed a broad criminal caseload, appeared regularly in court and worked closely with investigative agencies and complainants.
Recent work highlights
Advised an education provider on a procurement challenge concerning a public sector framework. Provided strategic advice on the evaluation outcome and engagement with the contracting authority, resulting in a successful outcome for the client.
Worked as part of the Inquiry Legal Team and acted on behalf of Core Participants in various statutory public inquiries investigating matters concerning public health, healthcare governance and systemic failings within public services in the UK.
Acted on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions in serious criminal trials in the Supreme Court of Victoria and interlocutory appeals in the Court of Appeal, including preparing matters for hearing and instructing counsel.
