We opened our Cambridge office in the heart of the City’s professional services district in March 2008. Within easy reach of the railway station, our offices overlook Microsoft research’s new landmark headquarters in Cambridge.
Our excellent team of solicitors and lawyers specialise in a full range of services across corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, property law, agricultural law, employment law, Wills and estate planning and family law. It is also the base for our specialist strategic land development, education, planning, insolvency and technology solicitors teams.
Since its launch, our Cambridge office has enjoyed a fourfold increase in staff numbers, attracting key individuals across the firm’s key solicitors across the firm's key service areas. Some of our key partner appointments have included Kath Herbert, Caroline Stenner, Ian Pattinson, James Allen, Laurence Weeks, Quentin Golder and Helen Bolton, all leading individuals in their specialist fields in Cambridge. The 2012 edition of the Legal 500, an independent client guide, notes that our “relatively young Cambridge office is rapidly growing in size, and has proven that it is possible to carve out a niche in a city that many consider to be over-lawyered.”
The role we play in the community is very important to us. We operate a charitable fund – The Birketts Charitable Fund – administered by the Cambridge Community Foundation which is committed to supporting locally based charitable projects.
