As Chief Executive of Birketts LLP, Jonathan Agar DL is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm and delivering sustained growth in line with the firm’s values.  

He is responsible for aligning Birketts’ operations with its core vision and mission, and guides the firm’s strategic direction as Chair of the Executive Committee and as a member of the Partnership Board. 

With over 25 years of experience in strategic development and change management within professional and financial services, Jonathan joined Birketts in 2013, where he has since led the firm’s ambitious growth initiatives. His efforts have significantly expanded the firm’s geographic reach into London, the South East and the South West, whilst also ensuring the business has kept pace with developments in the legal sector. 

In cultivating a unified and inclusive firm culture, Jonathan has championed the firm’s ‘ONE Firm’ ethos to unite everyone around five core values, creating clear goals and instilling a shared sense of clarity of purpose. 

Jonathan has also been pivotal in establishing Birketts as a responsible business, championing charitable giving, volunteering, and pro bono initiatives to support and strengthen the communities where Birketts operates.
