An update for clients - COVID-19

14 July 2020

Having adjusted to new ways of working we are now in the throes of planning a phased office re-occupation based on official advice from the relevant government and health authorities.

Like most businesses some members of staff have been placed on the furlough scheme during these testing times. However, our strength in depth and robust technology has ensured that we have been able to assist our clients with very limited disruption. In fact there have been some new ways of working that have come out of the crisis that we are keen to maintain.

Rest assured, as we make the necessary changes to operate in a post-COVID world and the economy begins to recover, our priority remains the same: to support our clients, protect the health and wellbeing of our people and maintain the levels of service excellence that our clients have come to expect. Read our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Risk Assessment in full.

In an effort to help guide you through these exceptional times our lawyers have written almost 200 articles on a range of topics on business and personal issues. They can all be found on our website (under legal updates and within the relevant service/sector areas of our website).

Additionally, we continue to produce our extensive range of newsletters. Again they are freely available on our website but if you would like to receive any of these titles directly please register your details via
If you have any questions about how we continue to manage our operations or wish to discuss how we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me or your usual Birketts contact. All contact details are provided on our website.

On behalf of us all, we continue to wish you, your families and your business well at this challenging time.
