Richard began his career as a Registry Clerk in 2009 with Winckworth Sherwood, which at that time acted for the dioceses of Canterbury, Chelmsford, London, Rochester and Southwark. During his time at the firm, it also took on the dioceses of Chichester and St Albans. Latterly Richard concentrated on the dioceses of London and Southwark, and joined Birketts when Stuart Jones became Diocesan Registrar of London in September 2020.
Richard is a member of the Association of Diocesan Registry Clerks and has been a member of the Ecclesiastical Law Society.
