Thaine Wilson

Thaine Wilson qualified as a Housing Solicitor in 2002 and has over 20 years of experience advising and assisting registered providers and local authorities in housing and asset management-related litigation. His work focuses on anti-social behaviour, tenancy fraud, disrepair, policy reviews, and drafting. Thaine is Joint Head of our Social Housing Team and known for his approachable nature and straightforward thinking, making him a trusted advisor and popular trainer among social landlords.
Thaine’s commitment to the social housing sector is evident in his proactive approach to client care and his passion for making a positive impact. Clients appreciate his unwavering support, practical advice, and ability to navigate complex legal challenges.
Before joining us in March 2023, Thaine was the Managing Partner and Head of Social Housing at Batchelors Solicitors. He played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and in Batchelors’ merger with us in 2023. Thaine also served as a co-opted member of a large-scale voluntary stock transfer housing association based in East London, sitting on its finance and development, and operations committees for six years, contributing to the governance and strategic direction of the organisation. This experience gives Thaine a unique perspective and ability to see situations from a variety of angles, enhancing the strategic advice and holistic guidance he provides to social landlords.
In addition to his professional work, Thaine is actively involved in voluntary roles. He is a former Vice Chair and currently serves as a school governor at a primary school in Essex, supporting the school’s leadership and strategic development. Since 2020, he has also been a grassroots junior football coach and manager, playing an active role in his local community and helping to develop young players both on and off the pitch.
