Birketts’ Residential Property Team is pleased to announce the appointment of Mona Power and Gavin Walmsley, who both joined the enfranchisement practice last month.
Mona and Gavin join as a Solicitor and Senior Associate respectively, and are based in the firm’s London office.
The two new appointments reflect the Residential Property Team’s growth and expansion, now providing support for clients across East Anglia, London and the South East.
Mona predominantly deals with statutory and voluntary lease extensions of flats, deeds of variation and covenant and rights of refusal. Mona’s experience also extends to licensing matters, advising high net worth individuals, including large scale residential acquisitions for landed estates in Central London.
Gavin joins Birketts with extensive experience advising on a wide range of residential property matters, specialising in lease extensions, freehold and collective enfranchisement and residential conveyancing, for both tenants and landlords across London and the South East of England.
Nicola Lebish, Legal Director and Head of Enfranchisement, commented: “We are delighted to welcome both Gavin and Mona to the team, which complements our enfranchisement offering across East Anglia and enables the further expansion of this niche practice.”
Amanda Angel, Partner and Head of Residential Property, commented: “The combined experience of Mona and Gavin within the sector extends our offering as we continue to deliver next level law across the East Anglia, London and the South East”.
