Birketts is pleased to announce Katrina Robinson MBE has joined its Social Housing Team as Legal Director.
Katrina has significant experience working with social landlords and has spent many years as in-house head of legal services for multiple housing associations, winning the prestigious Law Society Excellence Award for the in-house category in 2017.
Specialising in combatting anti-social behaviour and tenancy fraud, Katrina assisted the Government’s legal department with drafting the Prevention of Social Housing Fraud Act 2013.
Katrina also advises extensively in disrepair and environmental protection cases and was the instructing solicitor for SHLA in the case of Churchill -v- Merthyr Tydfill. She was also the Independent Adjudicator for Grenfell.
Alongside work, Katrina is the Chair and founding member of the Tenancy Fraud Forum and Co-Chair of the Social Housing Law Association and was previously the Chair of the Law Society’s LGBT+ Division.
On joining the firm, Katrina comments: “I am delighted to be joining the fantastic team at Birketts. Over the coming weeks I will be connecting with clients both new and old, and getting to know my new colleagues.”

Katrina will be based in Birketts’ London office until the firm’s Bristol office opens in autumn 2024.
