Liz Brownsell, Partner and Head of Charities at Birketts, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Charity Law Association (CLA).
Founded in 1992, the CLA plays a leading role in improving knowledge and awareness of charity law issues, and provides a forum to exchange ideas and information on charity law and the impact of law on charities. Members pool experience and expertise for the benefit of the charity sector.

As part of her role on the Committee, Liz will co-chair the CLA Annual Conference in 2023 and 2024.
On her appointment to the Executive Committee, Liz Brownsell said: “I’m delighted to have been elected to the CLA Executive Committee. Having been a member of the CLA since 2010 and having been involved in a number of Working Parties over the years, I know just how valuable the CLA is to the development of the charity sector. I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and playing a key role in supporting the important work of the CLA in shaping the future of the sector.”
