New Legal Director joins Intellectual Property Team

Birketts has welcomed Alexander (Alec) Cameron as Legal Director to its Intellectual Property (Contentious) Team.
Based in the firm’s Cambridge office, Alec joins Birketts from London law firm Level, where he was a Partner.
Alec has experience advising clients on a wide range of intellectual property law disputes involving copyright, trade marks, misuse of confidential information, the law of passing off, design rights and patents.
He also acts for clients in relation to defamation and breach of privacy claims and advises clients on contentious data protection matters including ‘right to be forgotten’ claims and contested subject access requests and information requests made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
