Anita Kasseean is a specialist infrastructure and development lawyer with approximately two decades of expertise in the spheres of the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (DCOs), Town and Country Planning, Environmental law and related statutory regimes including heritage, highways and compulsory purchase.
Anita’s wide DCO experience ranges from acting for promoters of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, to significant land interests affected by such proposals, particularly within the renewable energy and transport sectors.
Anita has a proven track record of holding Partner and senior leadership positions within profitable, award-winning and nationally ranked infrastructure, planning and environmental teams, in a range of international and national law firms, as well as in industry. Formerly with Heathrow Airport Limited as Head of Legal for Expansion, Anita led the Legal Team at Heathrow for its then application for a DCO for expansion. Anita was also previously the DCO Senior Director at the Pegasus Group, one of the UK’s largest infrastructure, planning and environmental consultancies, specialising in technical services on DCOs.
Anita also has strong international experience, having advised on green infrastructure projects in Guyana and the Seychelles. She has also advised on renewable energy infrastructure projects and matters in Singapore and India (mainly relating to Hydro projects). Anita holds a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law.
