Josephine Rossouw
Josie joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023 and is currently in her third seat, sitting with the Family Team in Sevenoaks, following seats in Corporate and Employment, and Agriculture.
Prior to joining Birketts, Josie graduated from the University of Exeter with a high 2:1 degree in English and Drama. At University, Josie was the Street and Commercial Dance Coach for the Dance Society, choreographing and teaching weekly classes as well as the routine for the Competition squad. In between her time at Exeter and her GDL, Josie taught dance and worked as a boarding house tutor and assistant drama teacher at Caterham School, Surrey. Josie then studied the GDL with The University of Law, achieving a distinction, before completing her LPC at BPP University. Josie elected to focus on the key practice areas of Advanced Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
As well as dancing, Josie enjoys singing and musical theatre, playing the flute and baking wedding cakes.
