Mark is a Partner and has more than 30 years’ experience of representing business clients particularly in Commercial Real Estate and in Real Estate Finance work. He has acted in the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, commercial leases, and in different finance transactions including owner/occupier, investment and development finance, and in bridging loans. He has also drafted the security documentation for a new challenger bank. His clients include leading UK banks as well as borrowers.
Typical transactions have included refinancing a £20M mixed use portfolio, a £13M loan to a Housing Association, a £6M refinancing of a partnership portfolio, an £8M restructure and incorporation of a BTL portfolio. He has dealt with funding secured against commercial property, social housing estates, HMOs and multi-let Business Centres, as well as a large residential estate comprising nearly 1000 ground rent properties.
On the Commercial Landlord and Tenant side his clients have included Landlords and Tenants of offices (including London West End), industrial, retail, leisure (sports ground, hotel and public houses) where he has advised on a range of complex 1954 Act issues, easements, licences, surrenders, forfeiture, rent arrears, and dilapidations.
Mark has acted for clients all over the world from England, Ireland, USA, Europe, Asia and Australia in relation to their UK business and investment interests.
Mark is also a Commercial Mediator, where he has helped to resolve a range of contractual claims and property disputes.
