Olivia joined Birketts as a Professional Support Lawyer for the dispute resolution team in 2022.
Olivia qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 into the litigation team at an international firm in London with a focus on the shipping, finance and energy sectors. Prior to joining the team at Birketts, she also worked at the London office of a regional firm, advising both individual and corporate clients, including many household-name businesses. She has extensive experience of general commercial litigation, including contractual and shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, debt recovery and intellectual property disputes. Olivia has managed cases in the High Court and in arbitration proceedings and has guided clients through the mediation process and negotiated settlement agreements.
Olivia also worked as a lecturer at BPP University, teaching and contributing to the development of the Civil Litigation and Advanced Commercial Litigation modules of the Legal Practice Course.
In her role as the Professional Support Lawyer for the dispute resolution team at Birketts, Olivia ensures that the firm’s team of over 100 dispute resolution lawyers are kept up to date with all the latest legal and procedural developments. She is responsible for creating and maintaining legal know-how resources, delivering targeted training sessions, and providing specialised research support.
