Olivia Morton

Olivia joined Birketts as a Professional Support Lawyer for the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team in 2022.
Olivia qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 into the Litigation team at an international firm in London with a focus on the shipping, finance and energy sectors. Prior to joining the team at Birketts, she also worked at the London office of a regional firm, advising small and mid-size businesses, including many household-name clients. She has extensive experience of general commercial litigation, including contractual and shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, debt recovery and intellectual property disputes. Olivia has managed cases in the High Court and in arbitration proceedings and has also guided clients through the mediation process and negotiated settlement agreements.
Olivia also worked at BPP University where she taught and helped to update and develop the Civil Litigation and Advanced Commercial Litigation modules of the Legal Practice Course.
In her role as the Professional Support Lawyer for the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, Olivia ensures that the firm’s team of over 90 litigation lawyers are kept up to date with all the latest legal and procedural developments. This includes maintaining know how resources and delivering and arranging technical training to the team and to clients.
Olivia is based at our London office.
Olivia studied English Law and French Law at University and spent time living, studying and working in Lyon and Paris.
She has a keen interest in art and between 2016 and 2021 she was the Chair of the Trustee Board for Artbox London, a charity based in Islington supporting artists with learning disabilities, where she also volunteers at the artists’ studio sessions.
