Sarah is a Senior Associate in the Bristol family team.
Her practice encompasses all legal issues arising on the breakdown of relationships. Recommended in the Spear’s Family Lawyer index, she has over a decade of experience with seven years at a Chambers & Partners Band 1 London team. She is equally at home advising clients on financial settlements as she is dealing with intractable disputes over arrangements for children.
Her children work comprises complex, high-conflict child arrangements, often with an international element. She regularly advises clients who wish to relocate either within the UK or internationally and has extensive experience in parental child abduction matters. Sarah also has a particular interest in legal issues relating to modern families and family creation, regularly advising on donor agreements and assisting parents to apply for parental orders following the birth of a child via surrogacy.
On the financial side, Sarah has extensive experience dealing with complex financial claims on divorce or the dissolution of a civil partnership and advises clients on domestic and international prenuptial and postnuptial agreements to protect business assets, trust interests and inherited wealth. Most of Sarah’s clients have international connections and she works closely with a wide network of foreign lawyers to ensure that her clients receive well rounded, holistic advice.
Sarah is a trained collaborative solicitor and can assist couples who specifically want to work in a collaborative manner. She is always focused on resolving family disputes quickly and amicably and uses non-court dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration where appropriate. If litigation is necessary, Sarah is strategic, efficient and helps her clients navigate the process, providing pragmatic and resolution focused advice whilst protecting their position.
