- Other Information
Kira joined Birketts in November 2017 and prior to commencing her training contract was a Paralegal in our Construction and Engineering Team in Chelmsford. She provided a range of litigation support for the team, including the preparation of winding up petitions and assistance with court claims. She is especially familiar with the Adjudication process and was regularly involved with the drafting and submission of referrals and responses and enforcement proceedings. She has now re-joined the team as a Trainee Solicitor, continuing to work primarily on contentious matters.
Kira’s first seat was with the Commercial Property Team in Ipswich, where she conducted a range of property transactions and gained particularly comprehensive experience in landlord and tenant matters.
Kira completed her GDL and LPC full-time whilst working at the firm, completing electives in Family Law, Personal Injury Law and Employment Law and achieving a Distinction.
Prior to her legal career, Kira studied History at the University of Kent where she received a First Class degree. Kira remains keenly interested in history and spends much of her free time visiting historical sites and museums, and is particularly interested in British medieval art history.
