Birketts advises on sale of Chichester Hotel

Birketts’ Commercial Real Estate Team has advised on the sale of Chichester Hotel in Wickford to a hospitality company for £1.9m.
The Essex-based Hotel has been owned by Chichester (Rawreth) Management Limited, a family-run business, for a half a century before being let out and subsequently used for housing asylum seekers in more recent times.
The Birketts team was led by Amanda Early (Partner, Commercial Real Estate) who was assisted by Aman Harvey (Solicitor, Commercial Real Estate).
On completing the deal, Amanda Early said: “We were delighted to support Chichester (Rawreth) Management Limited in the sale of Chichester Hotel. The family has invested a significant amount of resource into the Hotel’s refurbishment ahead of sale and it is rewarding to see these efforts pay off.
