UK Top 50 law firm Birketts has appointed Michael Conway as Partner in its intellectual property team to lead the firm’s branding and trade marks practice.
Michael is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with nearly 20 years’ experience and the first IP specialist to join the firm’s growing Bristol office. Working for businesses across a variety of sectors, including luxury watches, enterprise software and steam engineering, Michael is experienced in a range of UK, European and overseas trade mark matters. He advises clients from SMEs to multinationals on clearing new brands for use and registering them as trade marks, disputes at the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) and other global trade mark registries, as well as on securing, maintaining and enforcing rights in product designs.
Michael is the 9th new Partner to join Birketts’ office in Bristol since it opened at the end of 2024.
On Michael’s appointment, Maria Peyman, Partner and Head of Intellectual Property at Birketts, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Michael to our intellectual property team.
