Birketts’ Corporate and Banking Team scores impressive hire

Birketts is delighted to welcome Finance Lawyer, Devreaux Gravell, as a Legal Director in its highly esteemed Corporate and Banking team. Devreaux is based at the firm’s Chelmsford office but will support colleagues across Birketts’ four offices: Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich and Norwich.
Devreaux has over fifteen years’ experience in the Corporate sector and previously worked at a leading London-based global law firm, where he advised on a wide range of finance transactions.
Devreaux has extensive experience of advising borrowers and lenders on all aspects of general corporate lending and real estate finance transactions. As a result of the global financial crisis, Devreaux also has considerable experience of restructuring a wide range of finance transactions from both a lender and borrower perspective.
Devreaux commented on his appointment: “I am thrilled to have joined a firm with such a clear sense of purpose and ambition, as well as a strong commitment to growth. I am pleased to share my expertise with the team and have already been involved in transactions being advised on by Birketts which are of the type I was doing in the City.”
