Birketts appointed as approved provider of Diversity and Inclusion training for the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board

Birketts are delighted to be appointed as approved provider of Diversity and Inclusion training for the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board, with training being led by Birketts’ Sam Greenhalgh and Jonathan Shevlane.
Under their Shaping Excellence brand, Birketts have been approved as a national training provider for the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), appointed to deliver an introduction to Diversity and Inclusion training to members employed in the engineering and construction sector.
Founded in 1991 as part of UK Government, the ECITB reports to the Department for Education, working to develop and maintain National Occupational Standards for the industry. In addition to designing and awarding a wide range of qualifications, covering craft, technical and managerial disciplines, the ECITB work with employers and training providers to supply grant funding for individuals to undertake appropriate and industry based training on a wide variety of topics, the training requirements of which are set by industry members. Few of the equality, diversity and inclusion training solutions available currently meet the rigorous legal standards provided by Birketts’ and the team’s appointment is a further endorsement of the quality training offering they provide to employers.
The Shaping Excellence Team will continue to deliver their trade mark high quality e-learning packages remotely in tandem with the reintroduction of face-to-face sessions. The Team’s sophisticated blend of interactive break-out tasks, lively quizzes and comprehensive coursework has won them a dedicated client base with the highly successful Equality, Diversity and Inclusion course acquiring a host of positive feedback.
