20 Birketts staff from Birketts’ Chelmsford office took part in the Chelmsford Legal Walk in May, raising over £500 for The Access to Justice Foundation.
The Chelmsford Legal Walk is an annual event that is part of a series of walks across the country. The events bring together the legal community and supporters of The Access to Justice Foundation to raise money for the charity.
The Access to Justice Foundation is a UK wide charity which supports the provision of free legal advice and representation to people who need it most. The need for free legal advice has increased because of the cost-of-living crisis and support is needed now more than ever.
Over 150 walkers from the local legal community took part in the 10km route, and so far, the Chelmsford walk alone has raised over £5,000 for The Access to Justice Foundation.
Amy Twiggs, Solicitor at Birketts said: “The Legal Walk is such a great event to be involved in and all of those from Birketts felt really proud to be part of the community. The work The Access to Justice Foundation does is so important and ensures everyone has equal opportunity to access advice and support.”
