Birketts has announced its involvement in an award-winning technology acceleration programme for companies based in the East of England wanting to break into the offshore wind industry.
Opening in the region for the first time, Launch Academy East of England is run by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult. Companies across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex that are pioneering new products and services for the offshore renewable energy sector can express their interest in the programme until 28 April.
Birketts is providing pro bono support for the programme, alongside a handful of other regional professional services firms.
Speaking about Birketts’ involvement in the programme, Patrick Cooney, a Legal Director in the firm’s construction and clean energy teams, commented: “We are delighted to be involved in this programme and look forward to supporting pioneering companies in this increasingly important and growing sector.”
