Charlotte is a member of the Property Litigation Team in our Chelmsford office. Charlotte joined Birketts as a trainee in March 2017 and qualified into the Commercial Property Team in March 2019 before joining the Property Litigation Team in January 2021. 

Charlotte can advise on a wide range of contentious issues for both private individuals and commercial clients including lease renewals, forfeiture, repossessions, break clauses, breach of covenant, applications for consent, boundary disputes, trespass and more general commercial and residential property disputes. 

During her time with the Commercial Property Team, Charlotte acted for a range of private and public sector clients on the breadth of commercial landlord and tenant matters, freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions and real estate finance. 

Other Information

Charlotte undertook Law with International Study at the University of Exeter together with a year abroad at the University of Wollongong in Australia graduating with a 2:1 in 2014. Charlotte went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at BPP in Cambridge graduating with distinction. 

Charlotte spent her training contract at Birketts gaining experience in our Commercial Property, Corporate and Property Litigation teams.

Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys travelling, fitness (particularly running) and hiking. Charlotte will be participating in a 25km hike through the Lake District alongside colleagues for the third time this year in aid of Walking With The Wounded.
